This blog is a collection of my thoughts put together with sound reason. I will write about many different subjects and topics. I probably will not respond within the comments section unless it is to clarify something in that particular blog entry. I do not intend to argue with readers. Irrelevant and vulgar comments may be deleted at my discretion. I usually do not even read the comments on other blogs or articles because it seems so many comments come from individuals who just want to rant. I have no problem deleting such comments - or turning off comments altogether - if that happens here.
I am a middle-aged man who has done many things.
I have studied mathematics, business, philosophy, and religion at the graduate level. I have honorably served in the United States Marine Corps. I have been a Christian for most of my life. I have studied all worldviews and Christianity not only makes the most sense to me, but the evidence for it is overwhelming. I am married to a wonderful woman who takes good care of me and helps me see life in a beautiful light. I play guitar when I have time. I enjoy reading nonfiction books and novels. I have read many textbooks from many subjects.
Some of my hobbies used to include skydiving, white water rafting, camping, rock climbing, jogging, swimming, shooting, archery, hunting, and riding motorcycles. Now I pretty much read, write, and try to be a good father and husband.
I appreciate many styles of music: classical, slow jazz, blues, country, bluegrass, rock, metal, Bollywood, and old crooners (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole, etc). I do not get any fulfillment from listening to music filled with cussing, sexual lyrics, violent lyrics, or excessive repetitions that can drive a sane man crazy.
I like many classic movies, but not those with over-the-top melodramatics. I like comedies, but not those filled with drug use and profanities; those usually tend to have not much of a story. I like mystery and suspense. I like action movies, as long as there's a good story behind the action.
